Description

Designed for users having an indoor roasting operation, the ASHE Chaff Collection system comprises a chaff collection hood mounted to a swivel arm, a cyclone chaff separator/collector and a two horse power blower/fan to draw air through the system and out to exhaust. The swivel hood facilitates loading green coffee, drawing samples during the roast and quickly unloading at the end of the roast. Being close to the top of the roaster the swivel hood provides optimum efficiency in capturing loose chaff during the roast cycle.  It can be quickly moved out of the way to facilitate lifting the roast chamber to pour the roasted beans into the cooling bin.

The cyclone/blower combination is modular and can be housed separately in another room or outside, in a covered enclosure, with suitable nonrestrictive ducting.

If a customer desires to construct their own chaff collection system, or already has a means to collect chaff during the roast, ASHE can supply just the swivel hood assembly which bolts to the existing roaster top plate. The price of the Swivel Hood assembly by itself is $1,795 plus tax and shipping.  The Swivel Hood comes completely assembled and ready to bolt to your ASHE AirPro roaster.
